This lovely airy cottage is a separate building at the rear of the 90 year old Merewether Beach House. It is on two levels. The entry sitting room has a single bed suitable fior a child and bathroom entry is off this. Upstairs is a queen bedroom, small kitchen, lounge and dining area. Foxtel and wifi are included. The property is air conditioned but with lots of windows if you prefer the catch the sea breezes.
We are just a short stroll to Merewether Beach (voted Ausralia's best city beach) and the largest salt water baths in Australia. Merewether local's pub, The Beaches, is a very short walk and so is stunning, absolute beachfront Merewether Surfhouse with it's sophisticated bar and restaurant, function rooms, cafe and takeaway. The vibrant eating precincts of Darby Street, Cooks Hill and the Junction are just 2 ks away while the Newcastle CBD and harbour just 3ks.
Newcastle's renowned Bather's Way Walk starts100 metres from here - you can see the path streching away from the bedroom window.
If you like to escape the crowd we are also a short walk to Glenrock nature reserve with its lovely bush walks, rated mountain bike trails and beautiful Burwood beach leading to Glenrock lagoon.
Greg and I (Maz) are on site in the main house and available for help any time. Our greying staffy, Scout, will usually give a gentle hello.
