Summary: The wonderful Lida and her aunt Vilma own this lodging. They are both very sweet and contributed to the good vibe of the place. Lida speaks perfect English and can help you arrange a medicine ceremony with a local contact of hers if you wish.
I really liked that this place was just out of town, along the river, and very peaceful. It’s only a short walk into town; a short walk in the other direction is the start of the Incan Trail to the amazing archaeological site Puma Marca. My room on the third floor had a great view of the mountain and Incan terraces. The kitchen was a little grimy, in an average hostel way, but I was glad for the free tea and hot water every morning, and there are very nice outdoor spaces to eat in the garden.
Altogether “muy tranquilo” and had a cozy, family feeling!
