Summary: This inn was our favorite place we stayed during our 3 week trip around Japan. It is close to the Hakone train station as well as the downtown shops. It is the perfect place if you’re looking for the traditional Japanese feel with some modern amenities. There are only three rooms in the inn and a small onsen for private use. Because of the traditional build of the inn you can occasionally hear the other guests and the bathroom is shared but this did not take away from the charm of this place for us. One of the best parts was the breakfast of soup and bread each morning which we found out was made fresh by the staff. There is a public burger restaurant downstairs which was also delicious. The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we come to Japan.
