Summary: This was the first time I’ve stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Susukino. I stayed there for 4 nights. It’s a well located hotel within easy walking distance of local metro stations and Sapporo Station. As it’s centrally located close to the vibrant Sapporo centre. It’s also well positioned and a 5 min walk to Ramen Alley and lots of other restaurants and bars etc. The hotel staff were always very polite and helpful. From the reception team, the housekeeping team and of course the restaurant staff. All were a credit to, not just Holiday Inn Express. Clearly embracing Japanese, politeness and hospitality. The hotel is spotless. Likewise. was my room. The room had the awesome Holiday Day Express shower. shower. The bed was comfortable with either the firm or soft pillows. The room also had a small functional fridge. I used the gym. Unfortunately, it only had a small range of CV equipment (3 x Running Machines & 1 x Exercise Bike). There were also a couple of core exercise balls and some mats. The space available in the ‘gym’ would easily allow a couple of Elliptical trainers..! I hired a car to explore the beautiful coastline and local region. At night, i was directed by to use a local ‘hotel recommended’ car park. Overnight charges were ¥3,900..! This aspect was disappointing. As there was no discount which is advertised. As I very much enjoyed Sapporo and my stay at the hotel. I would still recommend staying at the Holiday Inn Express Susukino and hope to return.
