Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: We stayed here on a stopover to Udaipur, not expecting much but wow - what a hidden gem! There are only a few rooms in this retreat, and they are clean and spacious. The management and staff were very welcoming, and always made us feel comfortable and at home. We wished we had more time here. The Stay advertises the option to do trekking, safari and yoga, however we didn’t realise until we were there that these are very unique experiences run and managed by the property staff themselves. The owner, a Jain priest, also teaches meditation, which would have been wonderful to book if we’d known ahead of time. The food was homemade and delicious, but be sure to order far in advance, as it did take an hour for dinner and breakfast to be prepared (however, this may be somewhat expected as the property is a retreat away from the busyness of life. Also we loved the canopy/baldaquin bed!

Negative: The property is a bit hard for find and google maps directions are incorrect, make sure you call reception for directions. You won’t get a key to your room, but we felt the property was secure nonetheless.

Summary: Lovely stay, I wish I stayed longer
