Our home is a luxury beach house situated at the ocean’s edge, or as we say in Peru "en la primera fila" on a private sandy beach in El Ňuro, Peru. Here you can surf, swim, go beach-combing, jog, hike or..….you can simply do nothing. The house is an hour’s walk along the ocean to Los Organos, a typical Peruvian village.
The high ceilinged, Sante Fe style house boasts 5 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 12 guests and is perfect for families.
● *The master bedroom with spacious ensuite white carrara marble bathroom has a queen size bed and opens onto a private covered patio overlooking the garden and the ocean beyond. An ocean view desk is available in this large bedroom for those who wish to do work in the privacy of the bedroom.
● *Two other bedrooms each have a queen size bed as well as a desk. This gives guests privacy and quiet for working remotely while in our house.
● The fourth bedroom has two bunk beds and sleeps 4 people. This cosy room is perfect for children who like to sleep in the same room while on vacation. The toys shelves are right outside this room.
*An extra single bed can be added to any of these rooms.
● The second bathroom is also tiled in white carrara marble.
● The fifth bedroom has its own private entry and ensuite bathroom and is unconnected to the main house. It is perfect for those needing a bit of separation and privacy and would be ideal for grandparents, a couple with a baby or as a nanny suite. The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet and there is an additional large sink in the bedroom, as well as a refrigerator. The twin beds can be converted to a king bed.
● A luxury outdoor enclosed shower with dual rainfall showerhead is located in the oceanside garden.
The house has two main outdoor areas - oceanside where a large patio with couches, coffee tables, loungers and hammocks allows you to relax in the sun or shade, observe the many hummingbirds that visit the desert garden, watch the whales as they migrate south, or sip a drink while you marvel at a dramatic pink and purple sunset. The beach is right at the bottom of the garden stairs and the ocean is only a few steps (20 m) away.
The other outdoor area is at the entryway of the house where the swimming pool is located. Here, within the privacy of the hibiscus and bougainvillea-covered walls, you can relax on the loungers around the pool, enjoy a meal or a board-game at the large dining table, or cook in the outdoor oven. Ours is the only house with two separate lounging areas where you can move from one to the other to avoid the sun or wind or enjoy some quiet time alone. From the pool patio, stairs lead up to the large flat roof with a panoramic view of ocean and rolling hills. Here, there are several areas for private sunbathing.
Inside, the house is beautifully appointed with local custom-made furniture and artwork by Peña (Mancora) and Nina (Lima). The kitchen is well equipped and features a bar where guests can sit and chat while observing the cook at work. The open-concept living room has several seating areas with ocean views, as well as a TV-viewing area. The ocean-facing dining room can seat 10 people comfortably. Free wifi is available in every area of the house and patios; please remember this is rural northern Peru, so connection may not be as reliable as in the city.
The house has been equipped with solar panels to provide a clean and efficient way of capturing the sun’s rays to provide energy.
Daily housekeeping and cooking services are available for 4 hours a day (included in price) or all day (for extra charge paid directly to housekeeper).
A groundskeeper is available on site daily to look after the pool and gardens. English is not spoken by the locals, so a little knowledge of Spanish would be helpful. Our housekeeper/cook prepares typical Peruvian meals if requested, and can also assist with purchase of the food items you require from the market in Los Organos.
For your health and safety, the house is cleaned and sanitized in between guests according to the standards.
We can give you contact information for taxi service (or for larger groups a taxi minibus) to pick you up from the Talara airport. We use the same company and chauffeurs who are trustworthy, reliable, and know the route to our house.
